The training will form a working group of 10 participants who will do in-depth internal work as well as practice implementing the facilitator skills outlined in the book with an emphasis on sculpting. DESCRIPTION:Four-Day\, In-Person Training Description:\nThis four-day\, in-person training in Asheville\, NC is designed as an intensive master class that will experientially go deep with the IFS model and transform your IFS practice. Drawing on Chris’s 30+ years of Parts work\, 23+ years of teaching the Internal Family Systems model\, training new IFS Lead Trainers\, and providing IFS supervision and consultation\, this training will explore ways to identify challenging areas\, build collaboration with clients\, and resolve many common stuck points while using the IFS model. Since 2020\, IFS trainings have largely been taught on-line. Although this provides accessibility and convenience for the trainings\, this on-line model is limited in its ability to allow participants to fully experience the model during the learning process in the deep and embodied way it was originally designed.  \nThis training will delve into the “blind spots” in both the participant’s own Self-leadership and as well as their IFS practitioner skills. While this can be a challenging process\, it offers one of the greatest potentials for growth and development as an IFS Practitioner. The training is limited to 14 participants in order to allow time for observation\, consultation\, and opportunities for experiential practice. Participants must have completed the IFSI Level One training and are strongly encouraged to have had or currently be engaged in their own IFS therapy with a trained IFS therapist. This will enhance personal observations and the ability to go deeper in the feedback and the work. Please note that this training is not designed as a replacement for a participant’s own individual therapy.  \nDeveloping as an IFS Practitioner requires both the development of the “Self of the Facilitator” as well as clinical application skills.  Without direct observation and consultation\, it is difficult to determine the choice points in the therapeutic process that are leading to compromised outcomes. Simply talking about Parts does not support the possibility for transformation in the system. DESCRIPTION:Five-Day Training Description:\nThis five-day\, in-person training in Asheville\, NC is an in-depth training on how to use the IFS model in a group therapy format. The training is based on Chris’s book\, Creating Healing Circles: Using the Internal Family Systems Model in Facilitating Groups and is designed to teach participants skills and techniques in using IFS in a group setting. The training will form a working group of 10 participants who will do in-depth internal work as well as practice implementing the facilitator skills outlined in the book with an emphasis on sculpting. Participants will get immediate feedback from Chris while practicing facilitating in-depth IFS groups. This training is designed for IFS Institute Level One trained practitioners who are committed to providing IFS Healing Circles. \nLearning Outcomes for the Creating Healing Circles In-person Training: \n\nDiscuss various formats and/or themes for IFS groups\nDevelop a greater understanding of group dynamics and the stages of group development\nLearn the key group facilitator skills for using IFS in a group format\nDiscover the effectiveness of working with intentions\nPractice leading experiential exercises in a group format\nExplore the Self of the Facilitator and Parts that arise in live\, group dynamics\n\nDetails:\n\nNote: This workshop is offered privately with Chris and is not an IFSI Level II training.\nMust be IFS Institute Level One trained practitioners with a commitment to providing IFS in a group setting.\nLocation: Asheville\, NC\nDate: Saturday\, August 26th to Wednesday\, August 30th\, 2023\nTime: 9:00am – 4:00pm EST\nOne Virtual Session: Two hours\, Friday\, August 18th\, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm EST\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations for a full refund (minus the processing fee) can be made four weeks (28 days) before the first day of the training.
