SUMMARY:This Workshop is FULL: Introduction to Creating Healing Circles® Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nThis four-hour workshop is designed to introduce participants to using the IFS Model in a group format. Using Chris’s book\, Creating Healing Circles®: Using Internal Family Systems Model in Facilitating Groups as a guide\, the workshop offers an introduction to the outline\, structure\, and components of using the Creating Healing Circles® method in a group format. \nThe IFS model is a valuable tool in conducting group therapy because it allows for a live interplay of Parts being actively engaged in ways that are not always possible in individual therapy. Groups provide real-time access to Parts that can otherwise stay hidden due to well-entrenched Protector routines. Using the Creating Healing Circles® method provides a rich potential for growth in one’s internal world and opportunities for corrective relational experiences.  \nIn this four-hour workshop participants will: \n\nDiscuss various formats and/or themes for IFS groups\nUnderstand the experiential nature and essential elements of the Creating Healing Circles® method.\nDiscover the effectiveness of working with intentions\nExplore how the Self of the Facilitator and Parts arise in group dynamics\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nOpen to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants\nCost: $175\nTime: 11:00am – 3:00pm (ET)\nDate: January 9th\, 2026\nA zoom link and any supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nThis workshop is offered privately with Chris and is not an IFS Institute training.\nThis workshop will not be recorded.\nNo CEUs available for this workshop\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations for a full refund (minus the processing fee) can be made four weeks (28 days) before the first day of the workshop. Cancellation made three weeks (21 days) before the first day of the workshop will receive 50% refund (minus the processing fee). Registrations cannot be moved to another training.

SUMMARY:This Workshop if FULL: Common Stuck Points Using the IFS Model: A Two-day Online Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nThere are several areas in which IFS Practitioners can become stuck in the IFS process. This two-day online workshop presents common areas where IFS practitioners often get stuck. Drawing on Chris’s 30+ years of Parts work\, 22+ years of teaching the Internal Family Systems model\, training new IFS Lead Trainers\, and providing IFS supervision and consultation\, this workshop explores ways to identify and overcome challenge points when working with clients using the IFS model. Over the years\, Chris has both observed and experienced many challenging scenarios and patterns. In this workshop\, he will share with you ways to identify these challenging areas\, build collaboration with clients\, and resolve many of these common stuck points.  \nPractitioners need both Self-leadership and technical skills. The Self-leadership of the Practitioner helps the client feel seen\, heard\, and valued while the essential technical skills provide for a greater connection with Protective Parts and help traumatized Parts heal and unburden. Simply talking about Parts does not support the possibility for transformation in the system. Transformation of the client’s internal system requires experientially working with the Part(s). \nThis two-day workshop will offer opportunities to…  \n\nDevelop skills to create clear and workable agreements in the IFS process. We will explore…\n\nAdapting the model to cultural attunement\nExplicit and Implicit agreements \nMacro and Micro agreements \nWorking with intention \nIntegrating a client’s story into the IFS Process \n\n\nIdentify\, track\, and access Practitioner Parts’ in the therapeutic process. We will explore topics such as…\n\nWays to assess your own Self-leadership \nCommon practitioner Parts (Protectors) \nHow to identify your own blind spots\nWays to unblend your own Parts during challenging moments\n\n\nIncrease specific technical skill development in the IFS process and explore areas where practitioners get stuck in the core IFS skills. We will explore topics such as…\n\nRecognizing and working systemically with the dynamic of Parts \nBefriending what arises within\nHealing and releasing burdens\n\n\n\nLearning Opportunities Include: \n\nLive demos\nDyad exercises\nDidactic lecture\nQ & A session of pre-submitted participant questions\nPractice sessions \n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants must have completed the IFS Institute Level One training to participate in this workshop.\nCost: $400\nDate: Dec. 11th & 12th\, 2025\nTimes (both days):  10:00am – 5:00pm (EST)\n\nBreak from 1:00pm – 2:00pm both days\n\n\nThis workshop is designed for live interaction and\, therefore\, will not be recorded.\nTwelve (12)  CEUs available for this training (additional cost)\nA zoom link and supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations for a full refund (minus the processing fee) can be made up to seven days prior to the event. Cancellations made three to six days before the workshop will receive a 50% refund (minus the processing fee). No refund within 48 hours of the event. Event registrations are non transferable. (ie. Registrations cannot be moved to another workshop if canceled.)

SUMMARY:This Workshop is FULL: Burdens: Supporting Unburdening in the IFS Model
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nThe goal of this one-day workshop is to help IFS practitioners build confidence with the unburdening process. Healing in the IFS Model specifically involves the releasing of burdens. Unloading beliefs\, emotions\, memories\, body sensations\, and energetic burdens is a natural and organic human process many people have never learned or experienced. Having confidence with the unburdening process supports greater healing potential. In the IFS model\, Parts are often identified as their burdens\, creating imbalance and dysregulation. Once these Parts are supported and no longer identify with the burdens they carry\, they can naturally and safely release those burdens. This one-day workshop is specifically designed to help practitioners more effectively listen systemically to their client’s system and learn enhanced tools to identify\, befriend\, and support releasing those burdens.  \nIn this one-day workshop\, we will:  \n\nReview the nature of burdens\nAssess how burdens are held in the body\nUnderstand how to safely support the witnessing process\nDiscuss various forms of burdens (i.e.\, personal\, legacy\, cultural\, historical) \n\nLearning Opportunities Include: \n\nLive or Video taped demo\nDidactic lecture\nQ & A session\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants must have completed the IFS Institute Level One training to participate in this workshop.\nCost: $225\nDate: August 25\, 2025 –  11:00am – 6:00pm (EST)\nThis workshop is designed for live interaction and\, therefore\, will not be recorded.\nSix (6)  CEUs available for this training (additional cost)\nA zoom link and supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations for a full refund (minus the processing fee) can be made up to seven days prior to the event. Cancellations made three to six days before the workshop will receive a 50% refund (minus the processing fee). No refund within 48 hours of the event. Event registrations are non transferable. (ie. SUMMARY:This Workshop is FULL: Critic Camp: An In-Depth Approach to Helping Harsh Protectors Transform
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nThis three-day online workshop offers an opportunity to explore harsh critics and the ways these Parts have learned to protect us. As their goal is to make sure we are not too vulnerable\, lazy\, incompetent\, or rejectable\, they use harsh tactics that create considerable anxiety\, shame\, and/or rebellion in our system. Given that these Parts tend to be major players\, they enforce driving our system with fear-based motivation\, anxiety\, or rigidity. They decrease our feelings of joy\, spontaneity\, aliveness\, and often block our ability to know what we truly want in life. In addition\, the presence of untransformed critics can impede our healing process and quest to be more Self-Led.   \nThese Parts often do not just limit their activity to one’s internal system but can expand into our significant relationships with destructive consequences. These parts can injure people we care about and although their intention is to protect\, their impact causes harm. Working with these Parts and often the more vulnerable Parts they protect can prepare one’s internal system for deeper healing and unburdening. This workshop includes supervised practice groups with trained Critic Camp Assistants at a 1:4 ratio (one PA to four participants).  \nThe learning outcomes for this workshop include: \n\nDescribe how Inner Critics develop\nIdentify key interventions for healing Inner Critics\nDescribe the nature of harsh Protectors\nIdentify how these Parts function in the system\nExplore effective and efficient ways to engender cooperation and collaboration with Inner Critics\nWork in-depth each day with the essential IFS skills needed to help Critics transform\, specifically using Insight and Direct Access.\nWork in consultation groups with a staff of seasoned IFS trained practitioners (1:4 ratio)\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nThis workshop is open to both IFS Informed as well as IFS Level 1 trained participants.\nThis workshop is offered privately with Chris and is not an IFSI training.\nDue to the experiential nature of this workshop\, it will not be recorded. \nCost: $775\nDate: (3 days) – August 20th- August 22nd\, 2025\nTime:\n\nAugust 20th  & 21st: 11:00am – 6:00pm EST each day (with one hour break each day)\nAugust 22nd 11:00am – 4:00pm EST (with one hour break)\n\n\nSixteen  (16) CE credits available for this workshop (additional cost)\nA zoom link and any supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations made three to six days before the workshop will receive 50% refund (minus the processing fee). No refund within 48 hours of the event. Event registrations are nontransferrable. (ie. SUMMARY:This Workshop is FULL: Working With Critics and Challenging Protectors
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description: (This workshop is open to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants.) \nEveryone seems to have some internal Critics that have learned to protect themselves by being harsh. These Critics want to ensure we are not too vulnerable\, lazy\, incompetent\, or rejectable. These harsh tactics create considerable anxiety\, shame\, and/or rebellion in our system. These Parts are significant players\, forcing our system with fear-based motivation\, anxiety\, or rigidity. They decrease our feelings of joy\, spontaneity\, and aliveness and block our ability to know what we truly want in life.  Other complex Protector Parts such as reactive firefighters\, entrenched managers\, or Parts that use dissociation\, numbness\, sleepiness\, and self-injury can present significant challenges for clients and practitioners. Practitioners need to be Self-led and adept at Direct Access in order to build trust and creditably with these Protectors. \nIn addition\, untransformed Critics can impede our healing process and the quest to be more Self-led. These Parts often do not just limit their activity to one’s internal system but can expand into our significant relationships with destructive consequences. These Parts can injure people we care about\, and although they intend to protect\, their impact causes harm. Working with these and often the more vulnerable Parts they protect can prepare one’s internal system for more profound healing and unburdening. \nLearning Objectives – Participants will be able to:  \n\nDescribe how Inner Critics develop\nName three key interventions for transforming Inner Critics\nDescribe the nature of harsh Protectors\nName how these Parts function in the system\nEnhance two essential IFS skills – Insight and Direct access – to work with Inner Critics\nName two effective and efficient ways to engender cooperation and collaboration with Inner Critics and two ineffective ways to respond to Inner Critics.\n\nWho should attend:   \nThis workshop is open to all IFS informed as well as IFS Institute Level One trained participants. Participants should have completed a Level I training with IFSI or be IFS informed to participate fully. This is a seminar for practitioners – not a trauma recovery group – and should not take the place of personal psychotherapy. \nWorkshop Details: \n\nOpen to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants\nA basic understanding of the IFS model is required for this workshop.\nTime: 10:30am – 6:00pm EST (with a one hour break)\nDate: Friday\, February 7th\, 2025\nCost: $250 USD\nNo CEUs offered for this workshop\nA zoom link and supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations for a full refund (minus the processing fee) can be made up to seven days prior to the event. Cancellations made three to six days before the workshop will receive a 50% refund (minus the processing fee). No refund within 48 hours of the event. Event registrations are non transferable. (ie. SUMMARY:Critic Camp: An In-Depth Approach to Helping Harsh Protectors Transform
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nEveryone seems to have some type of internal critic that has learned to protect us by being harsh in some way. They tend to want to make sure we are not too vulnerable\, lazy\, incompetent\, or rejectable. These harsh tactics create considerable anxiety\, shame\, and/or rebellion in our system. Given that these Parts tend to be major players\, they enforce driving our system with fear-based motivation\, anxiety\, or rigidity. They decrease our feelings of joy\, spontaneity\, aliveness\, and overall they block our ability to know what we truly want in life. \nThe learning outcomes for this workshop include: \n\nDescribe how Inner Critics develop\nIdentify key interventions for healing Inner Critics\nDescribe the nature of harsh Protectors\nIdentify how these Parts function in the system\nExplore effective and efficient ways to engender cooperation and collaboration with Inner Critics\nWork in-depth each day with the essential IFS skills needed to help Critics transform\, specifically using Insight and Direct Access.\nWork in consultation groups with a staff of seasoned IFS trained practitioners to identify one’s own areas of strength and growth edges related to Critics and harsh Protectors.\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants should be IFSI Level One trained OR have completed the “Critics and Challenging Protectors” Dec. 8th\, 2023 workshop to participate in this workshop\nThis workshop is offered privately with Chris and is not an IFSI Level II training.\nDue to the experiential nature of this workshop\, it will not be recorded. \nCost: $675\nDate: (3 days) – March 18th\, 19th\, and 20th\, 2024\nTime:\n\nMarch 18th & 19th: 11:00am – 6:00pm EST each day (with one hour break each day)\nMarch 20th: 11:00am – 4:00pm EST (with one hour break)\n\n\nSixteen  (16) CE credits available for this workshop (additional cost)\nA zoom link and any supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations for a full refund (minus the processing fee) can be made up to seven days prior to the event. Cancellations made three to six days before the workshop will receive 50% refund (minus the processing fee). No refund within 48 hours of the event. Event registrations are nontransferrable. (ie. SUMMARY:Common Stuck Points Using the IFS Model
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nThere are several areas in which IFS Practitioners can become stuck in the IFS process. When this happens\, there are often significant challenges in discovering what is “not clicking” and how to move forward. These challenge points can either create a plateau in the work with the client or\, worse\, breach the therapeutic relationship.  \nThis workshop presents some common areas where practitioners often get stuck. These common stuck points draw on my 30+ years of Parts work\, 22+ years of teaching the Internal Family Systems model\, training new IFS Lead Trainers\, and providing IFS supervision and consultation. Over the years\, I have both observed and experienced many challenging scenarios and patterns. In this workshop\, I will share with you ways to identify these challenging areas\, build collaboration with clients\, and resolve many of these common stuck points. We will explore topics such as…\n\nRecognizing and working systemically with the dynamic of Parts \nBefriending what arises within\nHealing and releasing burdens\n\n\n\nLearning Opportunities Include: \n\nLive demos\nDyad exercises\nDidactic lecture\nVideo sessions of Chris working with a client\nQ & A session of pre-submitted participant questions\nPractice sessions \n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants must have completed the IFS Institute Level One training to participate in this workshop.\nCost: $385\nDate: Dec. 11th & 12th\, 2023\nTimes (both days):  10:00am – 5:00pm (EST)\n\nBreak from 1:00pm – 2:00pm both days\n\n\nThis workshop is designed for live interaction and\, therefore\, will not be recorded.\nTwelve (12)  CEUs available for this training (additional cost)\nA zoom link and supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. SUMMARY:(This Workshop is FULL) Working With Critics and Challenging Protectors
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description: (This workshop is open to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants.) \nEveryone seems to have some internal Critic that has learned to protect them by being harsh. They decrease our feelings of joy\, spontaneity\, and aliveness\, and overall they block our ability to know what we truly want in life. \nLearning Objectives – Participants will be able to:  \n\nDescribe how Inner Critics develop\nName three key interventions for healing Inner Critics\nDescribe the nature of harsh Protectors\nName how these Parts function in the system\nDevelop two essential IFS skills – Insight and Direct access – to work with Inner Critics\nName two effective and efficient ways to engender cooperation and collaboration with Inner Critics and two ineffective ways to respond to Inner Critics.\n\nWho should attend:   \nThis workshop is open to all IFS informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants.  Participants should have completed a Level I training with IFSI or be IFS informed to participate fully. This is a seminar for practitioners – not a trauma recovery group – and should not take the place of personal psychotherapy. \nWorkshop Details: \n\nOpen to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants\nA basic understanding of the IFS model is required for this workshop.\nTime: 11:00am – 6:00pm EST (with a one hour break)\nDate: December 8th\, 2023\nNo CEUs offered for this workshop\nA zoom link and supporting material will be sent closer to the workshop date.\nCancelation Policy: Note that if a refund is made\, regardless of when it is made\, there is a 3% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. SUMMARY:IFS and Life Dilemmas
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description: (This workshop is open to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants.) \nA major premise of the IFS Model holds that Multiplicity of the Mind is a natural function of the human psyche. Frequently\, people seek psychotherapy when they face major life dilemmas such as what college to attend\, leaving home\, career choices\, taking a job\, choosing life partners\, having children\, and even colors of paint for the kitchen. These dilemmas are made up of different Parts that appear polarized with each other – often creating a stuck and confusing internal experience for the client.  Using the IFS model in navigating these life dilemmas to ensure essential considerations are not compromised is an import skill in successfully assisting clients. \nIn this five-hour workshop\, we will explore the internal nature of “Life Dilemmas” and learn essential skills such ask setting intentions\, working with polarization\, mapping\, and alleviating core fears to better assist clients seeking help with these presenting challenges. \nThe Learning Outcomes for This Workshop Include: \n\nLearn to work with setting clear intentions\nIncrease skills on working with Polarizations\nLearn mapping skills to detect Parts active in each side of the Life Dilemma\nIncrease skill at identifying and befriending core Exiles underneath each side of the life dilemma\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nOpen to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants\nA basic understanding of the IFS model is required for this workshop.\nTime: 11:00am – 4:00pm EST\nDate: December 2nd\, 2022\nNo CEs offered for this introductory workshop\nOnce registered\, additional information will be sent via email\nRefund Policy: Cancellation and 100% refund is available up to seven days prior to the event. After seven days\, there is a 50% refund. No refund within 24 hours of the event. Event registrations are nontransferrable. (ie. Registrations cannot be moved to another workshop if cancelled.)

SUMMARY:Introduction to Creating Healing Circles
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description:\nThis three-hour workshop is designed to introduce participants to using the IFS Model in a group format. Using Chris’s book\, Creating Healing Circles: Using Internal Family Systems Model in Facilitating Groups as a guide\, the workshop offers an introduction to the outline\, structure\, and components of IFS groups. \nThe IFS model is a valuable tool in conducting group therapy because it allows for a live interplay of Parts being actively engaged in ways that are not always possible in individual therapy.  Groups provide real-time access to Parts that can otherwise stay hidden due to well-entrenched Protector routines. Using IFS in groups provides a rich potential for growth in one’s internal world and opportunities for corrective relational experiences.  \nIn this three-hour workshop participants will: \n\nDiscuss various formats and/or themes for IFS groups\nDevelop a greater understand on group dynamics\nBe introduced to key group facilitator skills\nDiscover the effectiveness of working with intentions\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants should be IFS Level One trained to participate in this workshop\nCost: $100\nTime: 3:00pm – 6:00pm EST\nDate: November 9th\, 2022\nFour (4) CEs toward IFS certification (not toward licensure) available for this workshop (additional cost)\nOnce registered\, additional information will be sent via email\nRefund Policy: Cancellation and 100% refund is available up to seven days prior to the event. After seven days\, there is a 50% refund. No refund within 24 hours of the event. Event registrations are nontransferrable. Refund processing (via Stripe) will be withheld from the refund amount. SUMMARY:IFS and Emotional Regulation
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description: (This workshop is open to both IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants.) \nAs human beings\, emotion plays a major role in navigating our decisions\, our relationships\, and our overall wellbeing. Research shows that our language\, recognition\, and regulation of our emotions goes largely undeveloped during our lifetime. While the IFS Model helps in the identification and recognition of our internal family of Parts\, there remains a need for further exploration and understanding of the role that emotions\, needs\, and somatic language plays in the inquiry process of the IFS Model. \nIn this four-hour workshop\, we will explore the importance of language as it applies to emotions and needs and will incorporate a process of exploration into those various experiences in order to enhance greater emotional regulation\, recognition\, and communication – both internally and interpersonally. \nThe learning outcomes for this workshop include: \n\nIdentifying the difference between emotions and moods\nConnection somatic language to emotional experiences\nIncreasing ability to listen to and befriend emotions\nUnblending from critical and thinking Parts in relation to being with emotions\nExperientially exploring our own emotional landscape using the IFS “flesh it out” process\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nOpen to IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants\nA basic understanding of the IFS model is required for this workshop.\nTime: 11:00am – 3:00pm EST\nDate: September 30\, 2022\nNo CEs offered for this introductory workshop\nOnce registered\, additional information will be sent via email\nRefund Policy: Cancellation and 100% refund is available up to seven days prior to the event. SUMMARY:Critic Camp
\nThe learning outcomes for this workshop include: \n\nDescribe how Inner Critics develop\nIdentify three key interventions for healing Inner Critics\nDescribe the nature of harsh Protectors\nIdentify how these Parts function in the system\nDevelop two essential IFS skills\, Insight and Direct access\, to work with Inner Critics\nList two effective and efficient ways to engender cooperation and collaboration with Inner Critics\nDemonstrate two ineffective ways to respond to Inner Critics\nApply skills with experienced with seasoned IFS Therapists and practitioners to identify one’s areas of strength and needed development\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants should be IFS Level One trained to participate in this workshop\nDate: (3 days) – August 28th\, 29th\, and 30th\, 2022\nTime:\n\nAug. 28th = 10:00am – 3:00pm EST\nAug 29th & 30th = 10:00am – 5:00pm EST\n\n\nCEs available for this workshop (additional cost)\nOnce registered\, additional information will be sent via email\nRefund Policy: Cancellation and 100% refund is available up to seven days prior to the event. SUMMARY:IFS and Emotional Regulation
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Description: (This workshop is open to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants.) \nAs human beings\, emotion plays a major role in navigating our decisions\, our relationships\, and our overall wellbeing. \nThe learning outcomes for this workshop include: \n\nIdentifying the difference between emotions and moods\nConnection somatic language to emotional experiences\nIncreasing ability to listen to and befriend emotions\nUnblending from critical and thinking Parts in relation to being with emotions\nExperientially exploring our own emotional landscape using the IFS “flesh it out” process\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nOpen to all IFS Informed as well as IFS Level One trained participants\nA basic understanding of the IFS model is required for this workshop.\nTime: 11:00am – 3:00pm EST\nDate: Tuesday\, July 12th\, 2022\nNo CEUs offered for this introductory workshop\nOnce registered\, additional information will be sent via email\nRefund Policy: Cancellation and 100% refund is available up to seven days prior to the event.
\nIn this three-hour workshop participants will: \n\nDiscuss various formats and/or themes for IFS groups\nDevelop a greater understand on group dynamics\nBe introduced to key group facilitator skills\nDiscover the effectiveness of working with intentions\n\nWorkshop Details: \n\nParticipants should be IFS Level One trained to participate in this workshop\nCost: $80\nTime: 1:00pm – 4:00pm EST\nDate: July 11th\, 2022\nFour (4) CEs toward IFS certification (not toward licensure) available for this workshop (additional cost)\nOnce registered\, additional information will be sent via email\nRefund Policy: Cancellation and 100% refund is available up to seven days prior to the event. After seven days\, there is a 50% refund. No refund within 24 hours of the event. Event registrations are nontransferrable. (ie. Registrations cannot be moved to another workshop if cancelled.)
