Workshop Description:
There are several areas in which IFS Practitioners can become stuck in the IFS process. This two-day online workshop presents common areas where IFS practitioners often get stuck. Drawing on Chris’s 30+ years of Parts work, 22+ years of teaching the Internal Family Systems model, training new IFS Lead Trainers, and providing IFS supervision and consultation, this workshop explores ways to identify and overcome challenge points when working with clients using the IFS model. Over the years, Chris has both observed and experienced many challenging scenarios and patterns. In this workshop, he will share with you ways to identify these challenging areas, build collaboration with clients, and resolve many of these common stuck points.
Practitioners need both Self-leadership and technical skills. The Self-leadership of the Practitioner helps the client feel seen, heard, and valued while the essential technical skills provide for a greater connection with Protective Parts and help traumatized Parts heal and unburden. Simply talking about Parts does not support the possibility for transformation in the system. Transformation of the client’s internal system requires experientially working with the Part(s).
